Purpose: Remote File Sharing!

This system consists of two modules, a security protected file uploader-integrated into a web page, and a separate file and directory explorer. This gives you a highly secure method of enabling authorized users to upload files to your server which generates web page output for another select group to view.

Both modules have a lot of built in customization!

Example: Remote construction crews generating photos and documents can log into a secure module to upload and organize the files they generate. Meanwhile managers and customers can log into their respective pages and view, analyze or download the deliverables.

Try the working upload demo on "Upload Demo" tab, then go to the "File Explorer" tab to see files that you upload and folders you create in real time!

Uploader has it's own log-in system (SHA-1 password encrypted).
There are 2 log in modes, user and admin.

File size restrictions FOR DEMO ONLY, max 100 files total in folders, restricted to .jpeg,'gif and .pdf for demo only. This is to protect our server from malicious files.

Go ahead, upload some files,create some folders then go to "File View Demo" and see them listed in real time.

Loading errors: If you receive a server error on initial page load, it is likely due restricted traffic limits that have been set for security. Close browser window to clear your cache in order to try again

To Use:

  • Click any file on left to preview
  • Click any folder to open folder
  • "options"- create new folder
  • "Add Files" - click to add to upload queue
  • "Upload" when you have all files ready in queue

To preview an image on the server: highlight the file. A small preview will appear, click on that image view to enlarge


Now for the true power of this tool!

After you create a new folder and/or upload some files; go to the File Explorer Demo. This is where you have all your files viewable, searchable, sortable as well as simple one click zip/downloads

Description- This is a lot more powerful than meets the eye!

This Explorer sees all files and folders in real time. It is searchable and any folder can be compressed and downloaded with one click. If you haven't tried uploading any files or making any folders on the uploader tab, try it now. When you return to this explorer you will see your folder modifications. To Use: Explorer opens showing all folders and files in main directory

  • Click on file name or thumbnail opens files that can be read in browser
  • Click on folder name opens that directory
  • "Parent directory" takes viewer up one level (or use links back to "myProjects" at top)
  • Download Button- compresses all files and folders in view for download
  • Links in "Index of" header can be used to navigate as well ( breadcrumb links showing directory path)
  • Search- searches for files, folders or both: default to search all parent directories


Uploader Features

  • Upload your files by simply adding them to the upload queue and press 'Upload'

  • Progress bar with display of estimated upload/download time

  • Image resize option after upload (server side resize script is included)

  • Display of filename, size and date in the upload queue

  • Remote directory browsing with display of size

  • Delete and rename of files and folders + creation of folders

  • Preview images from the remote folder + Fullscreen view. Flash player > 9.0.28 is needed for fullscreen mode.

  • Included login mechanism - makes it possible to define a different upload directory for every user. Simple user management already included

  • File name client side filtering - define allowed and not allowed file extensions

  • Passwords are sent sha-1 encoded from the flash.

  • Upload e-mail notification with list of uploaded files

  • Server side configuration - Fully configurable - every features can be turned on/off
